Contributing to the Techne System
This program improves because people like you help make it better. Whether you’re just starting Level 1 or you’re an expert in one of these topics, your perspective matters.
Everyone Can Contribute Feedback
You don’t need to be an expert to offer valuable input. The most helpful contributions often come from learners who notice what works and what doesn’t as they work through the material.
We want to know:
- What helped you understand a concept?
- What was confusing or unclear?
- What examples resonated with you, or what examples would have helped?
- What’s missing that you wish was included?
- How are you applying what you’ve learned?
- What would you like to see in this program that doesn’t exist yet?
Your feedback helps us improve the material for everyone who comes after you.
Types of Contributions
Corrections and updates: If you notice factual errors, outdated information, or broken links, please let us know. If you can provide sources to back up corrections, even better.
Clarifications and improvements: If something could be explained more clearly, if an exercise needs better instructions, if a section would benefit from an additional example—your suggestions help make the material more accessible.
New content and expansion: If you have expertise in one of these topics, you can contribute to areas not yet complete (Intermediate and Advanced levels, future topics) or enhance existing material with additional examples, case studies, or practice exercises. We strongly prefer discussing your ideas with us before drafting full content—this helps ensure your work aligns with the program’s structure and principles.
Multimedia and visual materials:
- Video explanations of concepts
- Audio discussions or podcast-style conversations about topics
- Diagrams, infographics, or concept maps
- Interactive exercises or simulations
- Illustrations or visual metaphors
Creative contributions:
- Metaphors, allegories, or parables that illuminate concepts
- Theme development (aesthetic overlays that make content more engaging)
- Logo, branding, or iconography suggestions
- Topic adaptations for themes
Translations: We welcome translations into other languages, though vetting these is challenging. If you’re interested in translating material, please contact us first to discuss process and quality assurance.
How Contributions Are Reviewed
Right now, all contributions are reviewed by the project creator. This ensures consistency and quality but limits how quickly we can incorporate new material.
In the future, we plan to establish a community-based vetting system. Once enough learners have completed sufficient material and demonstrated their ability to apply critical thinking and other skills, we’ll invite certified community members to help review contributions. This will make the process more sustainable and bring diverse perspectives to quality assurance.
For now, discussion before submission is the best approach, especially for substantial contributions. Reach out with your ideas, and we can talk through how they might fit into the program.
How to Contribute
ProtonMail: hephaestus(dot)techne(at)proton.me Mastodon: https://mindly.social/@hephaestus
Reach out through either channel. We’ll respond as quickly as we can and work with you to integrate your contribution.
As the community grows and more people become active contributors, we’ll develop more structured systems for participation. Your involvement now helps shape what those systems look like.
Thank You
Every contribution—whether it’s pointing out a typo, suggesting a better example, or creating an entire theme—makes this program more valuable for everyone. We’re grateful for your time, expertise, and willingness to help others learn.
